anyone have any reports or suggestions for there? i am leaving Friday and coming back next Thursday, have a flats charter booked for Tuesday , just didnt know if anyone here has ever gone.

I've fished in that general area a couple times, both at about this time of year. I would expect to see some redfish & maybe some snook on the flats /backcountry. Unless you get into the backcountry fairly deep there probably won't be tarpon around & if you do see tarpon they will be juvineles(sp?). there are always trout & cuda's around
I would take some clousers in 1's & 2's, a few ea with beadchain & mid- weight eyes. grey over white has worked well for me, one guide said red over yellow for off color water, don't forget a couple of merkins & a shimp pattern. If your're taking a rod &reel you'll need at least a 7wgt. Don't forget to clean it really well after use, the salt will kill it if you don't.
Final word, strip until you feel the fish, then strip set HARD before you lift the rod.

ps. most guides won't provide lunch, unless it's specifically included, bring one. also I have run into guides that work on a strictly cash basis, check beforehand.

thx this guide has taken my buddy out a few times with good succes - not sure on price?? i will keep you guys posted - red's will be fun and a baby poon would be sweet!
