Purple would be great in the mud, gray DNA for ultra-clear, I've put peacock tips on a 2" lg. #8 version (but it's not as durable) It's just a white bugger with a wing and eyes. In fact most of the black and olive ones have bead chain eyes. or a gold glass bead. 90 days, nope. But I always start out with speys or traditional feather-wing wets and have not touched eggs or even nymphs in a few years. Minnows are as low as I go. Steve K.

Steve I thing when I get the chance I am going to tie up articulated buggers with the over wing like you have, It could be an excelent alternative to the circus peanut sans the rubber legs.
I will be sure to let everyone know how I make out with this pattern.
