During my demo I mentioned a website that had a series of photographs of flies viewed from underneath. The URL for the site is www.geocities.jp/suimenuka/ if you have some interest in this. The primary pages are all in Japanese, but there is also a "translate" function that makes the site somewhat more useful. With or without the text I think you may find the images quite insightful. I suggest you go directly to the site using the URL above and then click on the translate function inbedded on the home page there. The English is a little clumsy but there is no doubt what they mean to say in most cases. Regardless, the photographs there reveal some facinating things about perception from under the surface and may change the way you tie and see flies. Brent Kelley

I will see if I have time for a spey, but these really are not my expertise (yet).... Charlie, Frank or Nick would be better at demoing these. The Rainbow Trout Spey would be the one I would do. Look in my section on the forum index page

Verno..thanks much for the offer! I had pretty good luck fishing the bead head princes this yr., but tying them has been a different story. I'm having trouble with the white goose biot wings, the biot tails, & the legs are sometimes iffy. Sometimes they look real good. I've tried hen hackle & other material for legs but the results have been inconsistent. What will be helpful is, if I can get some consistency, there are a lot of patterns that I can use the techniques on. I've been looking at your patterns posted on your boards & I'm getting psyched!! See ya' Saturday!..I'm looking forward to it..jj
