OK sports fans here is the official list of prizes for the Nate Carr Benefit. No particular order other than the rod was first right from the beginning. we were fortunate to have others step up with some terrific prizes of their own (thank you!) but some do require effort on the part of the winner where winning a rod is simply winning a rod. we may also have more stuff to draw for after this.
anyhow this is the order in which the prizes will be drawn. if anyone wants to consider trades after the fact that's up to the winners. there are still tickets left and will also be available up to 5:30 pm on Saturday December 15th when we will do the drawing.
1) One Scott L2H 11' 6" 7 wt switch rod. Donated by The Oak Orchard Fly Shop.
2) One day Guided trip for Musky and one night stay at the lodge courtesy of Brad Bohen of Musky Country Outfitters in Hayward Wisconsin.
3) One night stay at Zoar Valley Escape Cabin on the Cattaraugus in Springville. Donated by Vince Tobia of Cattaraugus Creek Outfitters.
4) One day of fishing for two for whatever species you desire fully accommodated with Justin Damude.
5) One day of Carp fishing with Chris "coach" Garcea either instructional or recreational including a dozen carp flies tied by coach.
6) Three days and two nights at a cottage on beautiful Rushford Lake either in the spring or the fall. Doanated by Rushford Rick Walczyk.
7) 6 feather wing traditional steelhead flies tied by Dave Siejka in a fly box.
8) Two water color prints signed and numbered by the artist donated by Mitch Roberts.
9) Rick Kustich is donating a signed first edition of his new book "Advanced Fly Fishing for Great Lakes Steelhead". this book will not be out until February. Also 5 of his signed "Reflections on Water" collection of short stories. These will be on hand.
10) One full dressed married wing spey fly tied by Dave Siejka in a frame.
11) Timmy Voigt is donating a framed Steelhead fly with a very eclectic name.
i guess this is also a not so subtle hint for anyone who was working on donated flies to, as Al Himmel would say, "wrap it up!"

well you should all be proud of yourselves for this. it was a great success made possible by loose community coming together to help a member. thank you to all who bought tickets and special thanks to anyone who donated to the prize list.
the part was great as well and thank you to all who attended. anyone who didn't missed some great food and fun and to really rub your nose in it, you missed chocolate covered BACON! yes you did. the group of local anglers will always be judged by weather you had the BACON! or not. in whispered tones- "he was one that had the BACON!" and people will back away, bowing.
on top of that Mike Cartechine outdid himself with the food. smoked brisket, burnt ends and pulled pork. with two amazingly good sides of Mike's corn and his killer beans. fantastic job Mike and special thanks to your better half as well.
eventually we got around to drawing names for the prizes too and the winners are as follows.
