Winter Fly Tying Thursdays at OOFS

Reminder!

We had so much fun we're going to do it again this Thursday.

Same deal: bring tying materials and beverage(s) of your choice. Other stuff that might be handy includes a portable tying light, extension cord, a spare vise for a beginner to tie on -- or whatever else you can think of.

As with last week, fly tyer extraordinaire Nick Pionessa will be available to answer particular questions and address tying issues and other fly fishing conundra. If you were there last week, you shouldn't be tying big ugly heads like these:



Next Week (Feb 5), at the special request of Jules, there will be a demo on furling thread leaders.

Update from the OOOFS Ithaca chapter fly tying event held last night. There were ties flied, beers drank, and stories told. There was even a demo on the blind splice backing loop. Unfortunately the ithaca chapter only consists of me and Alex haha. Hair wings by Alex, Feather wings by yours truely. Enjoy the festivities tonight I wish I could make it.
