This is one of the most complicated bodies that I have ever tied. This pattern first showed up in the late 19th century. Many speculate that it was a dedication, by an apprentice, to the great Irish Fly dresser and Dye master William Blacker. The body is 6 sections, each with veilings and keels of various exotics. Also, each body joint has 2 colored hackles and a butt of ostrich herl. Complex, but whoever came up with this sure had an eye for color blending.
