Lower Lake Erie and the Upper Niagara host a tremendous population of emerald shiners. "Minnows" as they are often referred to can be found in nearly every bay or along every weedbed. The following two variations of the Clouser Minnow have been extremely effective patterns for both smallmouth and largemouth bass in both the lake and the river. One tip: vary the speed of the retrieve to find the most enticing presentation.
