Sometimes it's hard to find long enough hackle that is suitable for the Spey or Dee fly "look." Although I wouldn't say these flies have long flowing hackle, they do have a Dee "look" and will definitely have motion. These aren't too difficult to tie and the material is readily available. The toughest part to tie is the wings. Shrimpy DeeTube: 1 1/2" tube w/ 1/16" diameter shown Tag: Oval Tinsel - Medium - Gold or Silver Hackle Butt: Pheasant Rump or GP Pheasant Rump wrapped Body Hackle: Palmered Saddle hackle - trim top flush with body Ribbing: Oval Tinsel - Large - Gold or Silver Body: Dubbing - seal, mohair, antron, hares ear.....your choice Collar #1: Same hackle material used at rear - wrapped and trimmed flat on top Collar #2: Shorter hackle - wrapped and trimmed flat on top - teal or GP pheasant, iridescent peacock....... Wings: Turkey tail fibers tied dee style - flat or vertical !!Sorry about the background on the next two!!
