Tried the Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails on the heads of my flies for the first time. How does it look?

ditto above, looks great. Ever tried a Sharpie Paint pen, (the kind you gotta shake up w/ the little ball in it)? I use it often and it gives off a nice shine as well.

Thanks guys! I haven't Genghis, but will remember that for future reference. That one is still wet. Only one coat was used though. I'm sure it would look better with another coat or two. But, this is a size 16 Prince I tied for local Trout and I am not worried about putting any more coats on since its a fly I will use. Here's a couple more trout flies I just tied. I used UV Knot Sense on the wingcase of this PT to magnifly the flash. It really makes it stand out well Veiled Glue Egg Czech Nymph

Hard as nails is solid enough to fish on one coat, but it soaks in and conforms to the thread. You need two or three for a dry finish like that. or 4 or 5 thin coats for Charlie and Frank quality heads.
Nice Prince, by the way.

So.. Clear nail polish instead of head cement? Is it better?

Makes for a nicer looking fly. You prob have to use more than one coat though.
