It's a simple tie, just a bit larger than the soft hackle from yesterday. I should have split the hackle feather to make it a bit more sparse, but it is what it is. At least the wings came out pretty good and that's the tough part as far as I'm concerned. Good fly when the conditions get on the clear side.

over all a nice job. you could shorten the wing just a touch so it follows the hook bend closer and a joint of dubbing or ostrich will hide the transition from the butt to the body a bit better. very nice work on setting the wings.

Your butt's a little saggy (long) I think the wing is OK for the hackle length, it's your fly. I can never get the same fly twice, the next one is always better! What is the green hackle? It almost looks like deer hair.. Nice tie, Steve

Thanks for the props!! The green is just spey hackle. Again, I think 1/2 stripped off would have a better look.

Tie in your tinsel on the opposite side of hook shank. Use a tag of fine oval tinsel to keep your floss from sliding down the bend. Other than that......I think it looks pretty good.
