Has anyone else noticed this or is it me? I don't see any fish being caught or any signs of them. it's been way off all winter, any ideas? Some are blaming the dam (the hydro co.) Some blame the wacky winter we had. Going to try further downstream by boat next week

Hope you have good luck on the boat. At least with a boat you'll be able to move around more & cover more territory. I was out only a couple of times this past year & got nothing to brag about & didn't see anyone else doing much of anything either. Some friends of mine who had been out there regularly had the same thing...poor fishing. As far as reasons?....to me, it's all part of the game. Some years are good, some not so good.

I think the problem is with Lake Ontario in general. The lower Niagara has fished poorly over the winter and the Salmon River also fished poorly. I did not here any good reports from any other tribs coming off of Lake Ontario. I think JJ is correct; we are probably at the bottom of cycle. Hopefully things will pick up next year.
