Another fly invented by outdoor writer and steelhead book author George Richey of Honor, Michigan. Richey’s flies are not the most beautiful flies but they do represent some of the earliest wet flies invented specifically for great lakes steelhead. This one was invented in the early 1970’s and is a fly for high dirty water. Hook: Up eye salmon hook. Tail: Black calf tail. Body: Back 1/3rd pink chenille, front 2/3rds black chenille. Throat: Black calf tail. Wing: Black calf tail over white calf tail. Head: Black [/url
