Hook- Daiichi 1110 #18 – 22 Thread- Yellow 8/0 Tail- Cream Microfibbetts tied in split Abdomen- Light Yellow Goose Biot Wings- Clear Antron, Z-lon or Darlon Thorax- Light Yellow Superfine dubbing Tying notes: Use whatever technique you want to split the tails and then lay a thread base along the hook shank after tying in the biot. Put a little head cement on the thread base prior to wrapping the biot for some additional durability. I use this basic pattern as a template for almost all my traditional spent wing spinners. The biot provides excellent segmentation, the tailing fibers help orient the fly correctly when it lands, and the gossamer wings look incredibly lifelike.
