The Circus Peanut: This is one fly fly.. Actually it is more like two flys in one. This articulated streamer has produced well the past season for myself as well as my friends on various river. Although for me it will always take back seat to the T/A Bow It has accounted for my largest non reservoir brown trout to date taken while wade fishing the system. It can be fished in many different manners jerk striped, twitched, swung and dead drifted. It is also very productive when using the salt and pepper rig one black peanut chasing a white peanut. One theory on its productive nature when fished dead drifted is that it can be taken as a sushi like crustation roll. On a local NJ trout stream myself along with others have observed trout eating large clumps of algae only to expel the algee after a few minutes. We believe the trout are eating the aquatic worm’s scuds and nymphs found in the algee. If we are correct in our assumptions that could explain the productive nature of this fly on the system after yoyo releases that losen aquatic growth. Hook: Size two daiichi wet fly hook Tail:Yellow marabou palmered Body Estez with two sets of rubber legs on each side of each hook Head: Schlappin olive or black Front Schlappin before dumbell eyes
