I thought it would be nice to see what you guys think about this streamer. I have had success with it, and it's an easy pattern to add to a fly box. Remember one thing before you tear it up. Everything I know, I have learned from the guys @ the shop

I can see why you've had success with it, looks like a fish catcher for sure. I wouldn't change anything except maybe tie it a little sparser. Is that a word?

Have to agree with alexc. A sparser one would work good. However, I would not toss that one. The heavyer dressing would work well in high water.

Kudos Phisherman!
The clouser is an excelent pattern to represent most baitfish. The eyes you chose for this fly look great and help set the fly off. You can tie this fly in manny color variations for most species that swim. You look like you are ready to graduate from clousers. If you want to start working with diffrent materials and take it to the next level try tying up some half and halfs.
You can continue to use the skills that you have learnd from tying the clousers while learning to work with new materials. The half and halfs helps with a litle extra triggering action.

thewylie, could you explain what you mean by a half and half? it's probably a pretty simple answer, but i am just a little curious!

a half and half is a clouser tied with saddle hackle tails ala a deceiver. it has the dumbell eyes of a clouser with the extra hackle of a deceiver hence the half and half. i have also used a thin bunny strip for a tail too or arctic fox, extra wiggley.
