Softhackle: 2 questions: Could you post some recipes for the soft hackles you have on this site?
Also, what size and patterns of soft hackles would you use to fish this time of the year when there are very few hatches? The only things going on here in Central, PA, now are tricos and terrestrials.

goose5, if you click on softhackle's name (under Author) you'll bring up Mark's profile, which includes a link to his website. There you will find many of his prettiest and deadliest wet flies and their recipes. I use a number of them myself, often as droppers from a good-floating dry. BTW, try tying the dropper to the dry's eye. Advice I got on this forum a while back, and it has been effective. One other thing, Mark has been a tying guest at the shop several times, so watch for that. Have fun.

Goose, There are a bunch of soft hackle and wet fly patterns listed on this web site. Check out the link below. oakorchardflies.proboards57.com/index.cgi?board=patternsfortroutAs for fishing them one of the best ways to do it is to swing them in the current like you would a steelhead fly. Cast them across and downstream and just let them swing across the current.

Sorry I missed this request, earlier, goose. I've been rather busy over the past few months. As stated by Craig, my web site is up and has a number of recipes listed. I recently re-did it to make it a little more appealing.
If you have ANY questions concerning these flies, materials used, techniques for tying and fishing, please feel free to contact me either through PM or from my site. There is an e-mail link listed.
Again, I'm sorry I did not get back to you sooner on this.
Mark
