This fly I see as an exercise in creativity. Unlike the other tube flies I have posted, this one has not yet captured a fish. I plan on using this one on my next Atlantic salmon outing. Until then it serves to show some of the creative things you can do with tube flies. Tube: 1 ½ inch aluminum Tag: Fine oval silver tinsel and yellow floss Butt: Black ostrich Body: Back ½ yellow floss, front ½ yellow then green SLF spun in a dubbing loop Rib: Over the back half only, green flat braid with fine oval silver tinsel on either side. Hackle: Orange burnt goose in middle of body. Feelers: Four yellow and four green schlapen feathers stripped except for the tip tied in randomly in the front half of the body. Collar: Orange dyed mallard or teal. Wing: Two orange hackle tips inside of two fluorescent green hackle tips
