In January I will be purchasing a 7/8 Beulah switch rod. Its 10’6” and I’ll be using it for steelhead, carp, stripers, whipers, and of course big water smallies! I had to sell most of my FF gear a year ago due to a layoff. I find my self back on my feet and with some disposable income. I’ll be going back to the same reel that has never failed me the LABK 5 "will this reels capacity be big enough". I know that there is going to be a learning casting curve here, and I get to tye all kinds of new style patterns! I will comb through your website as I always do looking for input. I’ll be purchasing a dvd or 2 to help me learn to cast “now if I only had a laptop I could take to the waters edge”! I’m not against looking at other switch rods, but the Beulah is the first I have seen!

I have some friends and family who own and enjoy their Beulah switch rods.
Others to consider around the same price point Scott, Echo(Not sure if released yet).
Another option if you mainly plan on using the rod for swinging flies for Steelhead, bass and other- buy a short 12-13' 6/7 Wt spey rod. Again Echo, Scott amongst many others...are options.
Good luck.
