This fly was invented by Randy Love, formerly of Western New York now living in Arizona. Randy created a series of spey flies in the mid 90’s for fishing the great lakes tribs. This particular fly was tied in the traditional Mardi Gras colors, gold, green and purple. It is a very good fly for fall low water conditions. Hook: Black Alec Jackson Spey. Size 3 – 7 Tag: Fine oval gold tinsel Body: Medium olive squirrel brite dubbing Hackle: Dyed olive pheasant rump or Burnt-goose spey hackle Rib: Fine oval gold tinsel counter rapped over hackle. Collar: Six to eight strands of purple Krystal Flash and purple guinea fowl.
