After buying stuff to tye flies I thought "gulp here it goes" There are few things I dont like the dubbing loop "but I need to learn" the blood quill does not look like the tutorial at all that I have! Well I'm pretty sure it will catch smallies, but I will have to make it a better representation of the fly on the board!

That looks awesome. I fish a fly very similar for steel.....just a tad sparser....but that will do the trick!!

Nice tie! it should fish great. about the dubbing loop, if you're interested, this is how I do it -make the loop DON"T WAX THE LOOP- cut the fur from the hide &, comb out some of the underfur then trim the butts flush, spread the fur some & put the butts in the loop, finalize the spread. (it should be fairly sparse) trim the butts again about 1/8 - 1/16" from the thread, then spin the loop, brush it out, (so the hair is perpendicular to the thread) pull the hair to the rear & wrap the loop around the hookshank/tube, tie it off & brush it out again. (It reads a lot more complicated than it really is) practice a few times & you'll get it down to a 2 - 3 minute process. good luck
