Thanks Nick !! I agree with your comments . When I tied these flies , I was thinking of trout mostly , with the intent of early fall steelhead , when my local waters run low and clear and there still is plenty of insect activity .
Oh yeah , Mustad 3582 is the hook and mostly tied on #10's and #8's .

Very nicely done! Good looking well thought out patters that I know would work well in the early fall. The only thing I would worry about is the double hooks. I know that they are illegal in many places in NY state.

Good thing I fish these in Ontario Glad you like them charlie and thanks for the kind words !! Try tying these on Mustad 3399's , size #10 to #6 if your local waters are single hook only . I've found that the double hooks are quite kind to the fish . Meaning that I have not experienced any fish tearing at the mouth . Probably due to the pressure is exerted on two points , rather than one , making an even load distribution . Mike

Awseome, doubles- trout written all over them- summer run too? , I just got a few Partridge double Wilsons to give'em a shot, mostly to try the backwards style of tying in the tag, I like it, thanks for the hook info- I am in
