One of about a dozen GD's I tied this season. I never tie very many since I use at least 4X tippet and go to 3X at dusk so I seldom break off any fish.
Well, I guess I need to learn how to upload a picture! I did the "Browse" and located the fly I wanted to post but when I click "Host It" my computer makes an audible "Boing" sound and it says there is "an error on the page". Any pointers on how to post images will be most appreciated.

photos should first be resized to under 1000 pix wide. click the "browse" button, select the file then hit the "host it" button. once the upload is complete copy the first line in the upload window "direct link to image". now on the tool bar above hit the fourth button from the left on the bottom row. it looks like a small picture. that will place the {img} {/img} brackets in the message. now paste the direct link you copied between them. it will look like this but with [ instead of { {img}http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/923/06060943.jpg{/img} with the brackets it will show as a photo. that's how that pic got there so i know it works if you're still having issues speak up. oh and welcome to the site!

Thanks for the instructions. I know exactly where your photo was shot - standing on the gravel launch approach at the Buckingham access. Have taken my Hyde out of there many times!

Nick,
I can't get to the point where it tells me "direct link to image" as soon as I click "Host It" I get that "blip" sound and in the lower left margin it says "error on page". Maybe my files are too large - is their an image size limit?

good point that i forgot to make, the photos should be less than 800 pix wide and compressed if possible. there really is no limit but if they are full size it makes it hard to view on screen. there may be a limit to what the system can handle and the bigger they are it sure takes longer to upload. i've tried a few today and everything works on my end with photos of the size above.
