This fly was invented by professional fly tier Paul Miller. Miller is one of the persons credited with popularizing the use of shank flies with interchangeable trailing hooks. Hook - Large Salmon hook with the bend cut off. Trailing hook - #2 Octopus connected by a loop of 30 – 50lb fire line lashed to the shank of the hook. Thread – Fluorescent Pink Tail – Purple rhea feather fibers Body – Black cactus chenille Hackle –Purple or Blue rhea feather fibers. Flash – Blue Krystal flash and Blue flashabou. Collar – Kingfisher Blue Marabou. Head – Pink or Orange Chenille
