I was wondering if the experts at this group could tell me what would be some good flies to tie for trout and steelhead (some bass) with the following list of materials. Bare with me this list is big
Vernille (Green, tan, black) Marabou (Blood Quill) Black Marabou (White) Deer Belly Hair (white) Pheasant neck (Hackle) natural Duck Quills Bucktail (Natural) Pheasant Tail (Natural) Tacky Wax Mallard Flank (Barred Wood) Foam Sheet (Yellow, Black) Poly Flash Dyna Floss (White Black) Rainbow Flash 2 packs Hackle Tips Saddle Hackle ( Natural, Yellow) peacock herl Muskrat Gold Floss Silver floss dubbing poly tron pheasant rump natural Deer Hair (Natural) head cement

you can tie pretty much whatever you want with a list like that. take a look at the sections by nick, charlie, verno & the others, many of the flies there have patterns listed, or get a pattern book & tie those.

Woolly buggers? Also if you go to sportfishingonthefly.com they show alot of fly tying stuff for all kinds of fish

look up some caddis pupa patterns or just take the vernille and wrap a body, rib it with wire, and wrap some peacock herl for the thread. Simple and effective.

Hi, How about some Foam Beetles and Ants. Zug Bug is also a good one.
