Just wondering if the shop sold " starter " fly tying kits. My 11 yr old son is hooked on fly fishing after catching a few bluegills/ bass during the summer. I also am interested in learning how to tie them. Thanks

in a word, no. but we would be happy to put one together for you at about any budget. the problem with kits is that they invariably contain stuff you have no need for and most of it is of dubious quality. we have all the tools and vises and materials and if you give us a budget and what you would like to tie it's very easy to get you what you need to do the patterns you actually use.

Goobers et al.: Don't buy a kit. My wife got me one years ago. Box of crap. You are much better off obtaining quality tools and materials...And then picking the brain of someone at the shop who knows how to use such.
