Light Anthopotamus Emerger Hook: Partridge 15BN Klinkhamer #18 Thread: Yellow 8/0 Uni Tail: Wood Duck flank dyed brown fibers Nymph: Amber Superfine dubbing Rib: Fine Gold wire Dun Body: Sulfur Superfine dubbing Wing Post: Yellow Darlon sandwiched with Pearl DNA fibers Hackle: White or Cream sized for a #14 hook A great fly to fish in riffly water when the large yellow duns are hatching. Do not be fooled by the #18 hook designation- this is a large fly and the trout watch for them constantly whenever Anthopotamus are on the water. You will notice that tying on the Klinkhamer hook can be tricky because it is exceptionally springy. Tie slowly and employ consistent tension and things will work out.
