Flashback Hare's Ear I've had this fly on my mind since I saw it several months ago. I just had to try it. They are based on a pattern that Ray (screen name Letumgo) came up with. He calls it the Micro Tubing Pheasant tail. What do you think Ray?

Those are some sweet looking nymphs, Joe! I like the look of the green abdomen material. Makes a nice juicy-looking bug.

Joe - Your fly reminded me of a couple insect photos I took while fishing a couple years ago. Your fly looks like a perfect imitation of a Rhyacophilidae (aka - Green Caddis Larva, Green Sedge, Rock Worm). Here are some photos so you can see the resemblance. Attachments:

Thanks guys! Those pictures are awesome Ray thanks a lot! I agree, the flies definietly replicate the insect well. I am now chomping at the bit to get out and try them. Those are tied on sz 14's for trout and I plan to whip up some 12's for Steel. I'll give a report once I give them a whirl.
