OK so i've been fiddling with this pattern for a few months and it's finally ready for a proper release. i had some good success with the sulpher version down on PA on a tough creek. when we got back from that trip i started to test it out on WNY's tough creeks. well it landed me my best dry fly (or any fly) fish of the year so far and the same with our PA trip for both me and SBFC. you can tie any color scheme you want with it. i used hackle fibers for the tail on the smaller sulphers. but i like the moose for the bigger patterns. the idea is simply to hide the hook a bit more and to also eliminate the drag showing properties of having the hook point below the surface film. i feel it shows drag less and acts more like a real mayfly by sitting lighter on the water. i have been trying out a GS hopper patterns in the upside down configuration and it worked well on the small streams this week. this version is for the isonychia hatch.
