Nick, Rick Kustich and I headed to the Grand River Spey Clave at Bean Park in southern Ontario this past weekend. Some of my pictures of the good times. Neil Houlding, Francois Blanchet, Gordon Macleod, A guy I don’t recognize, Scott Mackenzie and Ramsey. Rick Kustich gives his demo on fishing with a spey rod. Nick gives an unscheduled demo on underhanded casting. Francois Blanchet gives his Demo on Underhanded casting. Ramsey checks out one of Scotts DTX rod and line combos. Good stuff! A nice Dobsin fly one of the guys found in the bank vegetation. Spectators come in all shapes and sizes. Anyone need some salmon flies? The crowd gathers for Scott’s demo. Gordon and Scott discuss the demo before getting started. Scott makes one hell of a V-loop. Larry Halyk gives a talk on etiquette and river stewardship. Subjects that I think are very important in this day and age. Great job Larry! The Boys in the casting competition. Gin celebrates Ray’s victory for him Some friends hanging out after the competition. Time to go! Nick breaks down the Echo both.
