Hi Mikey, I am not a lake run Brown guru. Those that I know whom were felt the Orange & Brown and Yellow & Brown Steely Stone nymphs were "killer". In particular I remember them prefering the O & B for Browns where as the Y & B is often prefered by Steelhead. It was a really hot / effective regional pattern a dozen years ago. Now it's kept hush by some hard core fisherman that prefer it that way. See nick @ the shop for samples / purchase as they have Steely Stones close enough to the original tie in the bin or tie something simular. Good luck

Thanks tinman. I got my first one today. First three actually. But i didnt bring my camera so no pictures sadly. Brown trout are awesome. Very colorful. Thanks for the help guys.

follow nick's advice and dont pin your hopes to fish you can see. fish the water, not the fish, and make every drift/swing count. thats good advice.
