This is the Pacific north-west version of the floodtide salmon fly and is a popular fly for stealhead and salmon on the west coast. Tip: Fine oval silver tinsel. Tag: Crimson silk. Tail: Golden pheasant crest. Tail Veiling: Red goose. Butt: Black ostrich. Ribs: Silver tinsel and silver lace. Body: Florescent orange floss, orange, crimson, and purple seal's fur. Hackle: Purple marabou, from red seal’s fur. Throat: Orange dyed teal. Wing: Two red-orangehackles (back to back) enveloped by two extended Jungle (back to back); Swan dyed orange, crimson and purple, Turkey tail, Amherst Pheasant tail; and a topping. Sides: Jungle Cock. Cheek: Jungle Cock (points).
