the lake run fishery is great as far up as gowanda or so. the resident population is mediocre in the upper stretches of the creek below the dam. they are certainly there but not in great catchable numbers or sizes. the tribs are all open season now with artificals only and C&R so any trib is fair game this year.
btw you have some great pics on your links there, looks like you get in a few days a year!

thanks, and i'm not a numbers guy anymore... lol... I drive now to get away from society, and pagers, phones, emails, deadlines, and if I turn one fish its a good trip! thanks for the information. Those pictures are mainly from when I lived in NEO "Northeast Ohio", and now I find my self down in cincinnati, Ohio "yuk"! Lots of great memories for those of you that have seen the Catt in 80's and early 90's I could not imagine. I have only begun to fish her since 1995 and its was awesome then the rug got pulled out from under my feet..lol.. It amazes me how far smallies will go up stream from the big pond. I used to catch lake run small jawz 12-15 river miles from the lake out in ohio. Take care all, and thanks Nick!
