well i recently bought some dry fly hackle from the shop so i can tie my own dries. never have tied them with hackle before so nick sat down with me friday evening and showed me the basics. So today i decided it was time to tie one all alone i started small for two reasons first of all hackle is friggin expensive and if i fu%ked up a few small flies before i got the hang of it that would leave no wasted hackle for the bigger flies, second i figured if i could get the hang of it small big should be a breeze thus making me better this is in theory mind you. so here it is the world premier of a NSN dry fly please let me know what you think good or bad. Size 22 midge emerger

pretty damn good really. i like my hackle a touch shorter but i'll bet you used the hackle gauge. they always seem big to me. if you have some of the down eye hooks they make the parachutes a little easier to finish off. nice job all around.
