Hey man,
I would tie some grey and white clousers. Tie them with deer tail or slinky fiber. I would use red eyes or spirit river eye ballz. It seems that the red eyes may have alittle more attraction then others, don't ask why because that was just what I was told after the daily tallies were added up. For top water an awesome simple fly would be the Jack Gartside gurgler, its tied with a tail of either deer hair or a synthetic of some sort. The body is krystal chenile of your choice (white works well) and a foam back tied along the whole back of the fly and the front tag left as the popping head. The possibilities are endless but those are a few staples that I would have with me.

steve's pretty much got it. you will need some type of sink tip or head or something to get down, depending on the depth of the water. your steelhead gear may be enough for about 10-15' anything deeped may require more sink rate or weight. if you don't have the heavy stuff try to get out early when they are still shallow and as stated the poppers and such may be the best thing. walls and rocks for smallies and weeds for largemouth's. no idea on the jigs i have never fished them, but i would imagine the standard colors should work- black, white, brown and chartreuse.

Most definately clousers and poppers like stated, but don't forget old man Wooley Bugger in all black or white. Probally going need to wieght it either underneath with wire and/or a bead or conehead. Black bunny leaches work just as well too. Steve any pics of this Gartside gurgler?

My best memory of Jack Gartside was at the 2007 Jersey fly fishing show he was outside smoking a cigarette and watching the people take the certified FFF casting test and if someone failed he clapped and said that "hey if they suck that fing bad they deserve a round of applause.
