where I like to fish The fish are picky. I cant count how many times ive watched them pick my offerings apart almost as if to laugh at me from underwater. One thing I noticed during dry fly hatches is that some fish(big fish) only eating moving flies which got me to thinking they must do the same for nymphs. When I was out fishing yesterday I accidentally dropped a cdc bwo emerger in the water and when i bent down to pick it up i kinda wiggled it under water and saw how lively the cdc was. so when I was thinking about scud patterns i know they have a million little legs on the bottom so here is my offering I know the head looks like shit but cdc sucks to work with and this is what i came up with. All comments welcome

i'm not much of a fisherman, but i do have a lot of aquatic ecology background...i'd just say the legs are too long other than the head is too spherical.
but using cdc is really cool- i bet you'll like the results.

cDC works great underwater. Not the prettiest fly, but im sure it will catch fish. I'd try to make the head a little neater. I thought it was a bead head at first.. is it? . Also, I agree, the legs could be trimmed a little shorter... the fish aren't going to care most likely though.
what'd you rib it with?
