This fly, the tube version of the Egg sucking leach, is a very productive fly for trout and steelhead. It lends itself well to being tied on a tube. Tube: Plastic or metal tube from 1 to 1 ½ inches long. Tail: Purple Marabou. Body: Purple chenille. Hackle: Purple Schlappen palmered through the body. Rib: Silver wire counter rapped over hackle. Head: Chenille in pink, orange or red. ![](https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8668/15925310659_f499c453f7_b.jpg) A few using SLF spun in a dubbing loop for the head, ![](https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7471/16111369375_7f66eb0c5c_b.jpg) ![](https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7575/16109476151_9d97c7e91a_b.jpg)
