Not bad atol man. You may way to use some more light and a lighter color back round, so that the back round pigment doesn't distort the fly itself. What kind of camera are you using? See if it has a macro setting and try to get in as close as you can. Other than that nice tie man.

fishwisher that is not bad, but you may need to get closer for a better image without so much cropping. as steve said if the cam has a macro setting it will allow it to focus closer in to have the fly fill more of the image area. this is not critical for just documenting your patterns. another thing to do is to move the background material away from the fly to eliminate the shadow cast on the background from the lighting and also make the background smoother by making it more out of focus. keep at it and feel free to post more images for help with the technicalities. good work on the fly too!

thank you for the tips.i know i need a lot of pratice with a cam before i get shots like yours ,but i will use your info for help in the future for sure.i'm still trying to get this sending pictures from my disfunctional computer thing down,i did it twice,you would think i could do it again,well ....... thanks guys.
