I was wondering what are your favorite flies for swinging for steelhead? That is all. I was hoping for ones that could be tied on a regular shank hook. Thanks

Well, Bunny spey variant, any baitfish imitation, marabou flies (popsicles, simplicity, etc), woody bugger, and speys.
I'm sure you could get away with tying coon dogs on hooks..

# 8 Olive Woolybugger, red thread head, bead chain eyes, yellow dyed guinea collar. Swung on single handed rod, in a 20 ft wide trib. riffle.

As Gisteve said... WOOLEY BUGGERS! Haha, that and ESL's are the bomb. Ill also swing things like bunny speys, emerald shiner patters, and leeches.

Oops, sorry intomybacking. Didnt mean to steal your thunder.. i guess we all like bunny speys? And charlie purple body, with a white back is possibly the best variation ever made.
