Attempt number 1:When we aren't tying its fishing time.. [youtube]A very trying tie, especially when it comes to setting the wing so the hackle lays right. My friend showed me how to tie it this Sunday. We usually like to get together and tie. Still struggling especially with the gauging of the Silver phesant. When my friend showed me how to set the zebra or silver phesant he set both sides and the JC all at once. It was a true lesson in material preparation, and personal preference tying the wing. The hook I used for this fly is not legal in the Great Lakes. Attempt number two: Attempt number 1:A very trying tie, especially when it comes to setting the wing so the hackle lays right. Nice flies Wylie. And I think they are better than the ones on the escalure site, but I do like the rack on that model!
