SO since the last swap went so well, a bunch of the guys want to do a fall steelhead swap. Flies are for swinging ..... no eggs or nymphs or standard buggers. Since the flies are not due until august, I am going hopeing to open it up to as many tyers as i can. We will start at 12 and if there is significant demand for a spot, we may open it up to more, depending on what the group thinks. Swappers will tie one fly for each of the members in the swap, you do not need to tie one for yourself 1. Me 2. JJ - mirrored minnow 3. Charlie 4. Cranidoc 5. Brookies Rule 6. Psyco Timmy 7. Alex P 8. Adam34689349 or whatever the numbers are in your name 9. Pat Green 10. Frank Swarner 11. Adk fly tyer 12. slingyding13 13. thewylie
We will meet at the shop on August 14th at 4 pm
First people to respond with "Im in" will get a spot. Also, guys who are in, let me know if you are ok with expanding the number of members to accomodate for more people who want to join

I'm in........ Don't want to tie more than 12 flies though. Not sure how that will work if there are more than 12 involved.

well we will limit it to 13 people ..... that way we only have to tie 12 ....... if there is a lot of interest they can form their own swap or something

you da' man, dave!! I noticed that some of the people who tied, tied an extra 11 anyway, like you did for Mikey. I tied an extra 11 & so did Charlie & a few others, but the extras were also 11 of a different pattern. If enough are interested, I sure wouldn't mind tying up to 12 for another group, i.e. participating in two groups. You did it, I did it, Charlie did it & maybe a few more people did it. If there were more, hell, make it three groups of a maximum of 13 each. This way, if only five signed up for group "C", then a person only has to tie four. I think a lot of people are like me. I don't mind tying 12, but more than that of one pattern & I'm beyond my shelf life and/or expiration date.
So..I think your idea of opening it up to more people is super, but how about a limit of 13 people per group, i.e. Group "A"= 13 max, Group "B"=13 max, etc. If "B" or "C" end up fewer than 13, then you only have to tie the number in that Group.
As a back up, we can ask Nick to be on reserve so he can tie one fly each of 36 different patterns, all in 10 minutes to fill in as needed (ha! ha!).
