I need to tie some Light Cahills for here in Central/Western PA. I'm looking for an alternative to the traditional wood duck wings, which I feel share no resemblance to wings. I'd appreciate some ideas. Thanks, Bruce

i've always been a fan of hair wing duns as first done by Rene Harrop. better profile, better floatation and easy to tie too. thorax patterns with a deer wing work nice for cahills too since the mottled deer resembles the mottled wing on the cahils. for ease of tying a thorax with a poly wing is productive too. throw in a few parachute patterns too and it should do just fine.
