Great photos for sure. I took a trip to the Inlet area the first weekend of this month and as I sat in the parking lot of the supermarket there were LARGE mayflies landing on my car that I was suspecting (in my novice opinion) to be drakes. They had 3 tails and were far bigger than any other mayflies Ive ever spotted. If you thought you were early I must say that even though I didnt get a picture worth looking at of the bugs, they were out pretty heavy...

We were anticipating the Hex hatch....our timing sucked. We took the only time we had available really (weddings and graduations..etc..) We ended up watching a few crippled drakes twitch in the meniscus instead The brookies and bows werent paying much attention - if any at all to the drakes, but when the Hex hatch is on............the fricken water boils....... Nothing like a 24" bow on a 4wt in 15ft of water A day trip is definetly in order in the next few weeks
