what you got there is your basic promar model ac-416 fish whacker. check out the "squid gear" too. the better question is how did you find it?

Jeremy, I actually saw those bats in action! When the guys would catch a Pink in the Puget Sound, the first thing they did was smack them in the head with one of those bats. I was wondering where the hell they got them. Go figure.. Would they work with a center-piner who is casting over your line? Hmmmm.....

With the widespread interest in the Great Lakes fishery (read: overcrowded conditions as everbody and his brother shows up for our smallies and steelies), I predict that Great Lakes squid fishing will be the next hot ticket. Start the stocking program now, and in two or three years, this thing will be be huge. I suggest we focus on the elusive giant squid, of course. No point in going small-time. If you get excited over a 30" trout, well brother, wait til you boat one of these:

I've been doing some research on this squid fishing. I haven't found any patterns for squid flies, yet. It appears most guys use bait: Nick, you're gonna have to stock some bigger hooks.
