Hook: Mustad 94720 Thread: White, size 6/0 for tying the body, and black, size 8/0 for tying the head. Tag: Flat silver tinsel. Body: Orange floss. Rib: Flat silver tinsel. Belly: Peacock herl, white bucktail, and a golden-pheasant crest feather. Throat: White hackle fibers. Underwing: Golden-pheasant crest. Wings: Green saddle hackle (Whiting Streamer Pack) Shoulders: Silver-pheasant body feathers. Cheeks: Jungle cock.

Do you like the Whiting Streamer Packs for hackle wings? I have not tried them.
How many X long is that hook ? 6 or 8 ?

Looks great ! Not impressed with the Whiting package I got. Half the feathers look chewed up and missing barbules. Not what I would have expected from Whiting thats for sure. The Mustad 94720 is an 8x long hook. The one shown above is a size 4

Sweet tie..looks like a great fall pattern!! Although not your typical color green for a Green Ghost, the bright Highlander or Kelly green is a KILLER spring color for the LLS run on the Saranac River !!! I usually tyem with bucktail and put a coat or two of SHHN on the tag and body cause they get hammered up pretty good!!

What I really dig about that top fly is the red stripe in the head, that is like pin stripes in a fine suit.
