Ok so Christmas is on its way and well I want a spey set up from the big guy . I hear Santa isn't rich so I would like something affordable but I would also like something American made { yes I know that tends to mean more $ } So what ideas or suggestions do you guys have. ;D Thanks guys !!

I know you want American made... that's great, but check out Echo rods. I have several echo rods, and they perform beautifully. I have the TR6126 and two switch rods (a 4wt and 8wt). You can beat their value. Also, I think OOFS has a bunch of rods that you can borrow and test. As for American made... maybe Beulah. If I'm not mistaken they are made in the USA and are supposed to be excellent rods.
Good luck on the quest for the right rod.

nope, the Beulah's are made in Korea. i agree with AC, there are not too many reasonable spey rods from US companies. we carry Scott and they have a line of rods, the L2H, that are some of the least expensive US rods at $475 for switches and spey's at $575. these are new for this year and we just got them in the store. as AC mentioned too we do have rods from every company we carry to demo if you want to see what you like. here's the link to the L2H www.scottflyrod.com/catalog/view/L2Hhere is the Echo lineup as well. not made here but very well designed and great performing rods. www.echoflyfishing.com/

I tried out the Echo 11' 7wt. That rod was amazing. And from what i hear the whole line is great. Its hard to find cheap american things.
