You're not done with it! You still have to put those married wings in the background in it ;D It'll look like a red wing blackbird trying to swim to shore.
WAY cool fly by the way

Some really cool looking flies gang! No traditional, Western & Central NY derived, black bass bucktails...........? Here is a link, story you may like - globalflyfisher.com/streamers/bucktails/For some reason I have enjoyed buck tails from a historical, all american, apple pie , pov. Likely because of their history trace to right here in WNY and our Native Smallmouth Bass. Besides the gent from the finger lakes (article) there was a guy from Buffalo whom was a writer and commercial tier of Bucktails. Can't remember his name but, I could find it. Both were from the same time frame. He commercially tied a White Bucktail w) painted eye's a Brown BT.......and I forget the third one.......... Red & White comes to mind. Interesting stuff historically for rainy day research reading. It comes up in google searches. Thanks for sharing photo's of your cool flies ! Though I live in the deep Southerntier I am going to get some of my regional Western NY brethern tying and fishing some good old, upstate NY traditional , simple Buckatils for native Smallies along with Steelhead and Trout yet........ Dave, seeing your interest with traditional stuff tying your a natural fit bro ! They derived / originated were popularized from our region - Finger Lakes / WNY Simple yet classic...........telling ya ..........Bucktails are HOT fishing minnow patterns.......HOT. They just have an ideal minnow profile. Plus, they are awesome to cast. No Clouser Eye's, No Thunder Creek reverse ties needed...........just simple original bucktails little sparse flashabou / k flash........some w) painted or stick on eye's........painted being more fun and traditional. Sparse for skinny water / full for fat water / just like any other pattern........same way they did both profiles plus one more "stacked" even fuller/larger over 100 years ago.
