I am indeed "chomping at the bit." I recently relocated myself up north to Niagara county from the southern tier. I'm only about 2 miles from Lake Ontario... things are incredibly dry up here and its pretty hot. It seems like fishing is still a ways off. Not that I'm super excited to fish the crowded streams of Lake Ontario... but either way there are a few tribs only a stones throw away from me that have steelhead, salmon and browns. That is a big change from the Southern Tier.
Rain and Cold air are much needed!

I think the rain is going to be taken care of.. Theres a small creek forming on our street. The harbors near here have been down about 4 ft this year. Sailboats are getting stuck everywhere! And i hear reports of fish being just off the piers at night time. So not long at all! Cheers to you all, and lets hope its another good season! Remember your hard hats and shotguns..
