Since I've been flying around on my broomstick and not participating, here's one for everyone to pick apart ;D. I'll start first- head it too crowded and butt is it little short. The crest and the tail do touch tip to tip, I was just lazy and took a pic with my phone with it laying in my hand almost vertical This is a Blackner mixed wing style. I twisted the original with an all green body, no butt, and no G.P. crests ( I hate G.P.<-evil), it's a free style I came up with that I've fished and been very successful with, I think I posted it before if not I'll post it later enjoy

"has been fish(ed) with a few under its belt" OH YEAH! WE WANT TO SEE PORN PROOF ;D right here on this thread - (cuz you still can ) They are all cool with the slight variations. I am drawn to the last one, with the longer green body - really buggy The second one pictured is classically slick - nice "sparser" wing, as well I know the Blackner wings are a big pile of material(sh*t), I think you got the right ratio for your fly on that one. This get me thinking... steelhead sculpins with mottled Blackner wings, hummm...Thanks, Steve

great looking flies Joe. i have to try some mixed wings this year. it's a real trick to get them messed up just right. i definitely like the one with tail and topping the best. just seems to make the wings more "together" looking. nice work.
