wow, that pattern has chewy/fishy/yummy written all over it, in various color schemes.
reminds me of a simplified dec hogan "coast" pattern which works damn well locally.
nick, likes to reference this style to "old time irish grub patterns".
whats the recipe ?

Yeah the "coast" patterns are scarfed off the old school Irish stuff. About ten years and 4 work computers ago I had a screen saver I got from an English web site . it scrolled through a bunch of patterns really cool speys, dees and a few like this. I always thought they looked really cool, but never tied them. Now people think stuff like this is mini-intruders, but I assume the intruder development dudes may have put some history behind their creation (subliminally, maybe...) they swim nice, and its different and old. butt: small ball of red angora goat. rear hackle: red golden pheasant body:2/3's golden olive (slf?) dubbing w/ flat gold rib 1/3 red angora dub hackle: red G.P. with a shorter golden G.P. rump in front wing: slips of woody died mallard looking at this now - the next one will have one less turn of ass-hackle should be a little lighter a better view of the wing Wylie I gave you some, tied with ringneck and turkey FISH THEM! My flys are for fishing not saving.
