Starting Saturday May 19th we'll be doing FREE trout/casting demos on either Ellicott Creek in Williamsville, or on Cayuga Creek in Lancaster, depending on how many people turn out. These little off the beaten path classes/demos will be held on every Saturday from this Saturday until the end of June. This will give those a chance that either want to try their hand at fly fishing that have never done it before or if you just need to hone your skills with a few pointer's. There will be a few rods there for those that don't have one, but you are encouraged to bring your own setup if you have one. We will cover things like knot tying, the right fly during the right time of year, different casting for different situations i.e. single hand spey casting designed for fishing small trout streams. We will also cover how to actually present flies, such as nymphs, streamers, wet flies, and dry flies. This is something that is supposed to be fun and informative all at the same time. There is no set series of the classes just something that were going to do for a few weeks, until it gets to warm out. There is no sign up sheet or a certain time for you to be there, stop out when you can they will be from 11a.m. to 2 or 3 p.m. If you have any questions call the shop at 716-626-1323. OH AND BRING WADERS IF YOU HAVE THEM!
